The Smiths (famous English rock band of the 80s) need to get back together and have a tour. Each contract in this bounty is for a separate city on the way. It has to have both Morrissey and Johnny Marr, everyone else is optional.

Pledges on any contract are prepayment for VIP tickets to the performance in that venue.

The bounty can be collected by the band itself, their management, or the promoters in each city - but it is collected at the END of the show. If there are more pledges in a given city than there are VIP seats available in that venue, the pledgemakers will have their choice of an alternate location.

Concerts need to be at least one hour, and should highlight The Smiths best historic material, if there is no new content.

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Smiths for background.

If there's anywhere in the world I would want to see the Smiths play, it's gotta be the Big Apple.

Let's get the shout out on this one.

This is awesome, but note that I've made the LA contract expire in 12 months. I want to be able to get my money back if this isn't coming together.

I'm also going to email the bountyup.com people and ask them to add a "whenever" closing date, so I can have bounties that I can cancel at any time. (I suppose those would be one person, one contract).

I expect LA can command a big venue, so let's assume we can all do VIP tickets here. It's gonna rock.

Non-VIP

Todd, I know you love the VIP scene, but it's too rich for my blood. Any way I can get in a little cheaper, here?

Re: Non-VIP

Just make a new contract titled Vancouver Non-VIP.  Then make a pledge in that contract and put in the body that the pledges in this contract are prepayment for a non-VIP ticket but that you get to choose your seats before the rest go on sale, or that they have to make the choice available for 72 hours before the tickets go on sale to the rest of the public.  Then when they come maybe you'll realize you shouldn't have been so cheap and ponied up for the VIP tickets. HA!

nyerking suggestion to add "whenever" closing date

Done AND Done!  Its been sent to the geeks and amid snorts and obscure Star Trek references they assured us that it would be taken care of as soon as they finished building their latest useless application that is impossibly complicated to build.  Thanks for the suggestion!

The Mismanagement

p.s. we think you're cute and fuzzy too
